Our Toddler & Two-Year-Old Program

Giving children the support and foundational skills they need most in their earliest years.

Support and Encouragement

Our staff has great respect for the success of our toddlers and 2-year-old children. Teachers plan age-appropriate activities based on their weekly theme, give opportunities for free exploration to foster independence and take advantage of “teachable moments” throughout the day. Self-help skills are encouraged, along with potty training in the twos program.

We focus on the social aspects of group care with support in strengthening friendships and by modeling empathy for others.

Variety in Activities

Our toddler / twos participate in art, music and dance activities or cuddle up on a teacher’s lap while exploring books. Classroom learning centers are open and inviting for them to explore and learn through play. The children enjoy sensory-play experiences, cooking projects and learn about nature on our walking field trips.

We provide toys and equipment that help develop fine and gross motor skills. The focus on language development includes object naming, simple sentences and conversations by expanding vocabulary and the naming of body parts, colors, shapes and feelings.
